The middle school years are the bridge years from Primary School to High School. And this is the age of industriousness for children. High energy, high curiosity and nonstop interaction seem to be the hallmark of this age group. Therefore at Dr. Virendra Swarup Education Centre, Kidwai Nagar, the ‘Active learning’ approach is followed to help children be deeply involved in the learning process.

In Active learning, sessions are orchestrated such that the student has to apply his mind and take charge of learning and cannot fall back on the rote learning. The focus of testing is both content and application oriented, which is required for the ICSE curriculum.

We focus both on academic and intellectual rigour which include building knowledge base, habit formation, skill building, curiosity building, holistic thinking and going beyond text book.

In the realm of Middle School education, spanning the vibrant grades of 6 to 8, we offer our young learners a comprehensive array of subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, English, Maths, Hindi and choice of second language between French and Sanskrit.

Class room learning at our school is substantiated with life projects, model making, assignments, discussions, games, group study, class presentations, field trips and excursions and community service.

Learning is not only confined to class room but extends to our well-equipped laboratories as well. We have separate labs for Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer where children can learn by doing.
