Dr. Virendra Swarup Education Centre, Kidwai Nagar lays special emphasis on focussing upon the sporting talent of our students. Sporting activities are facilitated through a sprawling playground to facilitate physical fitness and outdoor games and is a distinctive feature of our school infrastructure. Our playground has numerous facilities for Basketball, Volleyball, Handball, Football, Hockey, Cricket, Kho-Kho, Badminton and Athletic events like Discus, Shotput, Archery, Javelin, etc.

We have dedicated rooms for Indoor games such as Chess, Carrom and Table Tennis and a spacious Skating rink for Roller Skating, giving our students more sporting avenues to explore thoroughly.

Through sports, students not only allow themselves to mingle well with each other but also learn physical and technical skills while experiencing success and a sense of achievement. Additionally, sports keeps them healthy and fit and develop a sense of timing, balance, leadership and coordination in all walks of life.

Our school has consistently taken part in the Interschool Sports Competitions, competing at the City, State, and National levels, and has made a significant impact each time. In the current academic session of 2023-24, our school's students achieved remarkable success in various Sports Competitions, bringing honour to our Institution. The highlights include:

  • In Chess, our students secured 4 Silver and 1 Gold at the National level, with the Gold Medallist earning qualification for the SGFI (School Games Federation of India).
  • In Archery, one of our students clinched 2 Gold medals at the National level, earning a spot in the SGFI.
  • In Carrom, two students achieved Silver at the state level and are set to represent UP and UK states in the Nationals.
  • In Skating, our students excelled with 2 Gold, 5 Silver and 3 Bronze. The Gold medallist has been selected for the Nationals.
